"Don't Hate Me, Bro"

Conservatism is the American political tradition. But it has been hijacked. The left tries to define it as cold indifference to the problems of others; as a refusal to improve. The right tries to get conservatives to go along with a right-wing progressivism that we aren't suited for.

We live in an era of shifting political alliances and it is never more important to know who you are and what you prioritize. Meanwhile, it's been more than a century since we had so much politically motivated hatred, though it is so often based on an incorrect understanding of the hated.

This doesn't have to be difficult. People complicate in it order to deceive.

All of conservatism can be boiled down to one, simple sentence that all good people can agree with. It's just a question of how far we'll take it.
